Animals roam wild near Naples homes. At the Naples Zoo families and friends gather to spice up a regular day with some of the world's most exciting and adventurous animals. When at the zoo visit species of birds, mammals, and reptiles.
While wandering the grounds it’s easy to observe that not all exhibits are focused on animals. Many include, botanical, wildlife, and special programs. However one must-see animal to visit is Uno the Panther. Uno was blinded by a shotgun and due to his unfortunate disability could not be returned to the wild after healing. Panthers are already an endangered species and thanks to the Naples Zoo, Uno has been cared for and given a cozy and permanent Naples home. After getting to know Uno, head on over to see other large cats. Two young clouded leopards Masala and Tikka were brought to the Naples property specifically for breeding. The clouded leopards status is vulnerable and decreasing in the wild but with these two being paired it is hoped that the population will be brought up.

For those who want a more personal and close up experience with animals, visitors are able to feed the zoo’s giraffes. Three pieces of romaine lettuce can be purchased for five dollars giving opportunities to one and all to closely encounter these magnificent creatures.
Once finished visiting the mammals reptiles are a neat sight as well. Not all are slithering and venomous snakes, the red-footed tortoise is an interesting and calm animal perfect to view when your trip is winding down. When feeling weary or famished from a day full of animal watching make your way over to Wynn’s Cafe for lunch or dinner. Salads, sandwiches, and hot dogs are up for grabs. Not to mentions refreshing beverages and deserts such as frozen yogurt. However if you find no time to stop for a meal and don’t want to interrupt the animal fun enjoy a quick snack along the way.
